The SurgiField™

SurgiField™ is an ultraportable batterypowered sterile environment. It is comprised of two medical devices:

  • a sterile single-use SurgiBubble™

  • a battery-powered Smart Control Module

and other accessories

  • a pop-Up frame

The SurgiBubble™ is a single-use disposable sterile medical device that isolates the surgical site with a physical barrier from the surrounding environment. The SurgiBubble™ is inflated by its medical device accessory, a battery-powered Smart Control Module (SCM), which filters outside air with HEPA filters. Its other non medical accessory, the (non-sterile) Pop-Up Frame (PuF), provides structural integrity.

FAQ

Is SurgiField™ available for sale ?

We anticipate launching the SurgiField into select markets following regulatory approval.

Our Smart Control Module, which is a smart air cleaner and air flow generator with simultaneously control of the pressure in an enclosure is available for sale.

Our medically certified, powerful Li-Ion battery pack BP-4002M as an independent product that can be used in a variety of applications is also available for sale. Please see the datasheet of the product and feel free to ask questions.

How does anesthesia and intraoperative monitoring work with SurgiField?

Most of the patient is outside the SurgiBubble: only the surgical site is isolated from the surrounding environment. Both general and loco-regional anesthesia can be provided as usual. Sensors can be applied as usual. Any lines that need to be inside the enclosure can run via the self-sealing line-ports.

How do I bring instruments/materials/fluids into (or tissue, materials, neonates out of) the SurgiBubble?

A magnetic material port is available at the tail end of the SurgiBubble, providing controlled access between the inside and outside.
